You're a talented lady, I'm sure it will turn out just fine. On the other hand, if it doesn't go as well as you'd like, you can cut it up into scraps for quilts! It's a win-win scenario, really. ;-)
Oh brilliant can't wait to hear how you get on. I've had muslin pieces cut for a tova for months now but so far have managed to avoid going any further for fear of mucking it up.
I got mine all taped together the other night! Hopefully tonight after the kids and dogs have gone to bed I'll be able to spread it out and get it cut.
How exciting to make your very first garment! I've been thinking of getting back to making clothes again, it's been a long time since I did. There's some fun patterns out now. Can't wait to see how it turns out!

Good luck. You will be fine. If you can make the quilts and other stuff you do, you will do just fine.
Of the three apparel items I've sewn, two of them were Tovas! It's a good learning experience for sure.
