It's been a while.
Forever actually.
OK, 6 years.
Long time no see.
:)
Today I worked out on the treadmill and the elliptical and oh it felt good.
Just as good as dropping off my kids at the gym child watch for an hour and doing something just for me.
I've never been very athletic but I used to love Pilates and did that twice a week when I was single. Then I met my husband, life got busy and well, that was that.

:)
I even made an appointment with the trainer for Monday to show the ropes and help me work out a plan.
Now, I'm not going to become a runner or anything but I'd like to tighten up and be in good shape.
So here's to starting something new. Thanks to my sweet hubs for making this happen for our family.
Hope you've had a good day too!
xo,
Jennifer

Go,Jenn! I love, love, love being home with my kids everyday, but there is no relief like dropping them off in childwatch nearly every weekday. You may not be able to tell on the outside that I frequent the gym, but at least my mental health is better!
I joined a gym a year ago this month, and it has been one of the best decisions I ever made. My contract is winding down, and I'll be using equipment at home for a while now to help our budget, but I'm so thankful that I did this. It's really changed my life! So happy that you're loving it too!!
Good for you and therefore, good for your family. My husband did a similar thing 4 months ago. I went from not being ever athletic to training for my first mini triathalon. You will not be sorry.
Whoops! That comment should say 14 months ago, not 4.
I LOVE the child-care place at the gym! It absolutely has saved me from a sure mental breakdown! I started going when the twins were a year old-they are four now. Even during busy times when I can't get there, just knowing its there waiting for me is a lifesaver! Yay for you!
Yeah! Go!
Cheering for you from the couch!
At least you're not sore for a week like I was after a body sculpting class! I went to support a friend and could barely walk all weekend long...I guess that's my cue I need to go to a gym more regularly too :)
Good for you! You showed real courage going back to the gym after six years! Keep it up, I'm cheering for you!
I totally agree with you about your mood improving; my Husband bought me Gym membership for my birthday in March, I go roughly 3 times a week now AND really look forward to it! Time away means when you are with the kids you really appreciate them and I seem to have bags nore energy too. Good Luck with your new regime.
Good for you...and the kiddos.
WTG you! I'm just about to sign up for our city gyms again, as I need more than the walk to and from work to get me in shape...
i have been doing cross fit for the last few months. it is amazing, such a great workout! i am so happy for you jen! it feels so good to be getting fit again doesn't it!
Attagirl! Go for it!
Good for you!!! I love the saying about lapping everyone on the couch. lol Will remember that next time I'm on the treadmill.
Way to go! I need to start doing this too :)
The gym and I have become long lost buddies. But I have a new dog, one that requires much exercise. It may have been a plot by my husband to get me outdoors, because he isn't doing much of the puppy walking.
