Keep Calm and Princess On

It's a total mess around here but it's all good.

We sold our house and are moving next week - whew!
Lots of packing going on here.
Lots.
Plus I am S-L-O-W. (Maybe I need more caffeine?)

The only good thing about having your house in total upheaval is it totally nixes the desire to tidy up as there is absolutely no way to do that. It's kind of liberating.

My sewing space is all packed, and I've got plans for my new sewing room in the new house. It'll be fun putting it all together.

In the midst of the chaos, we had a princess tea party on Tuesday.
Precious little girls in princess costumes, painted faces, princess songs, necklace making, and chocolate cupcakes.

It was so adorable and lots of fun.

My sweet girl had been looking forward to it for two weeks and on Tuesday could hardly contain her excitement all day long. Once we get settled in our new house, we are definitely doing it again!

Little brother kept himself busy with crayons and Blue's Clues.

OK, it's time to pack the rest of the kitchen and tackle the attic.
Better get some coffee first!

xo,
Jennifer

Good luck on your move! We just finished ours last weekend and it was a long haul to get it all done, despite only moving across town. We should have our old house cleaned up by the end of the weekend... and then we can relax a little. Whew! :)

I don't envy you the moving process, but how exciting to have a new house to settle into and make your own! And what a great mama you are, to stop and put on a tea party for your sweetie, right in the big middle of it. Some things are just more important than chores, right?
