My favorite summer dessert is always ice cream. Friendly's makes a "Butter Crunch" that I would like to roll in for a bit. So good! My other ice cream treat that I love is Dove Bars, vanilla with dark chocolate coating. Mercy!
My most recent favorite is a strawberry lemon tart. I had never made one before, but it turned out delicious! The only bad part is that you have to heat up the oven to make the crust.
My favorite would have to be a Key Lime Pie with macadamia nut crust...sweet, savory, tart and cool! Yummy!
I love Erin McMorris's fabric lines! I really like peach cobbler made with fresh peaches, yum!
Ice cream is always fabulous, but I also love Peanut Butter Striped Delight! (I think you can find the recipe from Kraft- it is incredible!!!)

I make strawberry jello pretzel "salad" (we call anything with jello a salad - it makes us feel a little less decadent, lol) but I make it with mixed berries instead of just strawberries. My family loves it and boy did I catch it when we had a get together and I brought something else instead. So this is the whole family's favorite!

It's got to be strawberry shortcake with whipped cream - although when cherries are in season it always means summer to me but that's just too healthy to be considered a desert in my mind.
For me the taste of summer is Eton Mess, a glorious swirl of broken meringue, whipped cream and crushed strawberries. heavenly.

Although I found a new favorite frosting - just make homemade whipped cream and add in pureed strawberries, raspberries or peaches. Yummm!!! I don't think I'll ever make real frosting again.
As a kid our treat was to walk to walk as a family to the Dairy Queen to all get a dipped ice cream cone.

The past couple of days I have made this fruit salad:
1 diced apple, a cup or so of fresh cherries, sliced and pits removed, a handful of golden raisins, a dash of cinnamon and nutmeg and a bit of honey or agave nectar drizzled over the top.
It's tempting to add other fruits, but these few flavors alone are delicious!

my all time favorite desert is a really yummy carrot cake with just the right amount of frosting - not too much. Summertime deserts is all fresh fruit and berries - with a touch of a good flavored basalmic.
Favourite summer dessert...hmmm. I don't really do dessert all that much but if I had to choose something it would probably be fruit pie. Or ice cream, but my tummy doesn't always tolerate ice cream very well no matter how much I enjoy eating it!

My favorite dessert in the summer is a huge bowl full of fruits.
Having said that, I made a new version of my brownie recipe last night and altered another one I'd seen elsewhere. I made the brownies pouring half the batter into the pan, then layered Nutter Butter cookies and followed with the rest of the batter. Baked that and then on top went an amazing and wonderfully addictive layer of chocolate peanut butter ganache. OMG I was in heaven. Everyone that was here visiting last night had two servings although I don't know how. No matter how heavenly that was, I could not eat more than one, although I will admit had there been some of that ganache left hiding in the fridge I would not have had any trouble at all taking a huge spoon to that. LOL

Yum! After reading all of these comments I'm really craving a summer cookout with lots of desserts! My favorite is an angel food cake and berries trifle recipe. It calls for angel food cake, vanilla or white chocolate pudding, cool whip, strawberries and blueberries, layered in a trifle bowl. :)

Lemon Chiffon Pie - this is a modified version of a Lemon Meringue, you take the meringue and instead of putting on top you fold it into the lemon filling, result is a light and fluffy pie, perfect for summer.

Love this fabric! My favourite summer dessert is a classic Australian dessert called pavlova, which is basically a big meringue topped with cream and fresh fruit. I'm from Australia, although don't live there anymore, and I make this often, especially for guests. Everyone loves it!

Well it would be fresh blueberry pie. When my husband & I were first married, we raised blueberry plants! We have since moved, and really miss all the pies, muffins, and other blueberry desserts I used to make! Now we buy them at the store.....
