Do you hear crickets? No? Oh good.
I know it has been a little quiet around here on the blog.
That would be because we've decided to put our house on the market which means there's been A LOT going on behind the scenes.
Cleaning, clearing out (good thing I am not a pack rat) sprucing up, painting, touching up, and packing up to get things ready.
Whew!
The good news is that all the work is behind me for now.
Now I just have to keep it picked up and clean while we have showings which shouldn't been too hard since I have seriously decluttered and kept the toys to a minimum.
Strange how the kids haven't minded/noticed that I packed away half of their toys. Could that mean we have too many?
The listing goes live on Thursday so hopefully we'll have a busy weekend of showings. We live in a great neighborhood, close to everything, but have just outgrown our house.
Next comes the hard part- where to move? We want to stay in the area and would love to land in a neighborhood where we can make some good friends that have kids the same age as ours.
I believe these things have a way of working out the way they are supposed to.
I have Faith.
Still, it is a bit stressful.
On a side note, I start teaching my beginners sewing class tomorrow night! I have 5 students and am looking forward to getting them excited about sewing and creating.
Speaking of sewing, haven't done much of that lately but I did manage to find an hour to put together this Kindle cover for my dad for Father's Day this weekend. He has a Kindle Fire so hope he loves the cover.
Now, on to find the perfect gift for my husband.

Oh good luck with the house hunt and house sale! I see that in our future and it makes me nervous. I hope so much that you are able to find the house and neighborhood that is just right for you and your family. Home is so important, I'm sure there's something perfect out there waiting for you to find it!

i hope it sells quick so you won't have to battle keeping it clean for long! we would love to try to sell our house but i know i can't keep it clean with my two kids, well without me going crazy! ;) love the cover, i bet he loves it too!

I know things will go as they are supposed to. The Lord has a way of getting us in the places we are supposed to be, and He will watch over your sweet family :) It'll be an awesome weekend!!

Exciting news about the move! A note about the kindle cover...In the middle of packing all four of us for our trip to Utah, I had to stop and make one for my Nook. Your pattern is wonderful and super easy! Mine was a little wide (my mistake) so I sewed down one side to make a pen pocket. It fits my notepad and nook perfectly!
Oh, that is a big decision! Best wishes for a speedy sale and finding the right spot for you guys! A sewing studio is on the must have list, right?!
