1 – 200 of 323 Newer› Newest»I would definitely go for the Stockholm Vintage Leaves. I'm not a blue fan, but this mixture is beautiful!
I love the Stockholm summer leaves
I like the Lark entire series!
These all made my favorites list:
Lark Button Flower Navy
Lark Chinese Lanterns Grass
Sanctuary Warm Glass Tiles in Sherbert
Ta Dot Dalmatian
Sumatra Orange - Tangerine Fizz
Sumatra Geranium Gardens
Sanctuary Warm Zen Garden in Sherbert
I think I like the Sumatra Orange Tangerine Fizz the very best.
Great selection, but I love the Ruby Star Spring Bee the most I think!
Thanks for the chance to win :o)
Anything organic- Monaluna Tree Meadow is particularly pretty!
What lovely fabrics!
There's something about the Magical Lands fabric that speaks to me. I love green and purple so its perfect.
I wish I could spend lots of money on material!
My fav - Saffron Craig - Magical Lands. The fabric calls to me.
I still love Amy Butler's Lark series; also really like Stockholm series in Summer Birch!
Thanks for introducing me to a new fabric shop! I love Lark Heirloom Blue Sky. Thanks for the chance!
I just love Tilly Organic Vinery Dawn -- and lots of others in the shop too!
Love the Mod 04 Teal. Such a fun print.
They have a lovely selection! Stockholm is a line I've actually been looking forward to... but other than that, I'd pick the Daisy Janie Shades of Grey.
Thanks for the giveaway!
It's a hard choice :) I still love Echo (especially the Florine and Moira prints) and Outside Oslo (can't really pick just one favourite) and Stockholm looks interesting too, I'd love to see it "in person" :)
I have to say first off that I was so happy to be able to go to the "Designer" page and up popped the designers pictures along with their names. It makes it so much more personal having their faces match the names. So with that said I loved the designs of Pillow & Maxfield. The colors and designs were beautiful and I've never even heard of them. Thanks for the chance.
I really love those fat dots in orange and grey - I am working with a lot of orange/aqua/grey lately and always happy to find new prints! Love this store, have shopped here a few times already and have had always had great service!
I love the Stockholm Birch fabrics. They would make wonderful UnRuly letters. The Vintage Leaves are gorgeous too.
I like Tilly fat quarter bunch. Everything is beautiful.
I love http://www.marmaladefabrics.com/impressions-foliage-chartreuse-p-1059.html

I have shopped with Marmalade fabrics before, the service is excellent!
I'm really loving yellow at the moment so I picked out Metro Living, White Rings on Marigold as my favourite fabric :-)
Fingers crossed :-)
The entire "Outside Oslo" collection is so cute! I especially love the fronds.
Wow Jen, stockholm is beautiful! I've never seen it before, but I adore those grey hexie's! If I dont win, I'm definitely buying some!
I love the Outside Oslo.
I could use some reds, so I like Lark Souvenir Persimmon! Thanks
I love Saffron Craig's - Beetle Bugs FAT Bunch!
lovely, I like "impressions"
en so mutch more, wath a beautiful collection
hug mieke
martinevanreet@telenet.be
I love the Lark collection! Plan to make a quilt with it soon to show off the beautiful prints.
I'm really in to grays right now...so I like Bryant Park Medallions. And Stockholm Summer Leaves.
Love the Grand Bazaar! That Pumpkin is gorgeous.
I love all things Melody Miller - probably my favorite would be Ruby Star Spring bloom in springtime :)
I've never seen Tilly Organic (by Daisy Janie)- I'd love to make some things out of that collection!
ALL the Echo fabrics :)
I am still obsessed with "Echo" from Lotta Jansdotter-- I just love the simplicity and color palette. I think i'm becoming an Echo hoarder (yes, this is a cry for help!). ;)
Thanks for hosting this give-away!
Beautiful fabrics. Loved stitch chevron lagoon. Such vivid colors!
I love Saffron Craig's fabric. I've been in love since I saw them but they are way over my budget to buy them :(
THE most important thing I look for is price. Secondarily the user interface and variety/selection a shop carries holds influence.
i love tammys selection and awesome customer service! today Kaffe Fasset's Serape in red appeals to me most.
Awesome giveaway! I love the Shades of grey River Rock fabric and Ruby Star Spring Bloom Springtime, plus a whole load of others too! Thanks! www.craftyshenanigans.blogspot.com
On-line fabric shopping -- I look at the pattern and hope for the best with colour.
I look for the different choices in fabrics to offer.. then the sales! =) Most shops on line offer good quality materials too!
Loving the colors in that stack! Thank you!
The most important thing for me is customer reviews. After getting a very short fat quarter from an online purchase I'm a little jaded. Thanks for the giveaway and this post. I'm ordering some Kona today!!
When buying online, I look for great deals on shipping and items. I also ask friends where they buy to get good recommendations.
I look at the shipping information, and customer reviews.
Marmalade has a great selection. Thanks for the wonderful fabric giveaway.
Marmalade Fabrics are wonderful!
Honestly I look at price and postage costs (being in the UK). Good pictures, an idea of scale, and being able to purchase fat quarters helps too!
I like being able to search by colour, I find that really helpful if looking for something specific.
I honestly look at price and postage and customer service! I have order from marmalade before and it was wonderful! I will again!
Fun fabrics! :)
I look for availability of the fabrics I am wanting and price/shipping.
I look for large selection of modern fabric. I love custom FQ bundles and all pre-cuts. I also like good shipping deals. That's probably the one thing that helps me pull the trigger on a purchase. Also, when I get a newsletter that offers a discount on my total purchase, I often take advantage of it. I can't wait to check out Marmalade. Thanks!
I'd say large selection, free shipping and/or discount!
When shopping online I look for fabrics that yell out to me "buy me" but I also look at price, customer satisfaction, and shipping. A great photograph so really see the true colors is great too. I love being able to buy fabric in Fat quarter and half yard bundles too.
Aside from cost and shipping, I look for selection. Are there different fabric lines there? Stockholm looks fantastic!
I look for coordinating fabrics when shopping on line.
I really like the colors in the Tilly Flourish
Good customer service is a must! However, the price of fabric along with shipping costs have to be considered since I am on a tight budget.
I love to see projects made with the fabric. It's always good to see a beautiful fabric used in something I can see. Good customer reviews are always good too!
I look for reasonable prices and low shipping costs!
Thanks for a fun giveaway! The first thing I look at is price, with shipping information at a close second :)
Andrea - prajaline(at)gmail(dot)com
I think I first look at shipping and how much that will add to my online purchase. If a website doesn't make it clear as to how their shipping works or how to order fabric I'm turned off. A well organized simple to maneouver website is a must.
and of course variety...
I look at the price and if they'll cut FQs that's a big plus!!
I would have to agree with krisgray and say good customer service. And fast shipping.
Since I can't touch or see it in person I have to rely on the design and of course the price.
Lower prices than a LQS for products, no handling fees, low or no shipping cost
If costs more online, might as well drive to a LQS.
For me it is all about the selection and variety. I pay a lot for international shipping so I order about 6-8yards. I need a lot of choices :)
Best wishes
Susanne
Pictures are important to me when buying fabric online, I'd like to be able to tell the scale of the prints, be able to zoom in and out. Also really important to me is the shipping price to Canada. Thanks for the giveaway!
The most important thing I look for when purchasing fabric is first:
Do I like the color and/or print.. Then I look for quality and price. Thanks for the opportunity to win this fabric.
When I shop online for fabrics, I am usually shopping for a fabric I know so I am looking for the least expensive price. Other than that, I like to see fabric content, scale and measurements. Thank you for the chance at a giveaway. I'm hosting one on my blog too if you'd like to stop by. :)
I like the ability to order smaller amounts of material - I am glad that Marmalade sells fat quarters! I am a scrappy stash builders, so I like having a little bit of a lot of different fabrics!
Thanks for the great giveaway!!
Ability to say how close one is to filling the initial size of international shipping bag in yardage (or if it is possible to ship a single FQ for less than the $17 USPS has just made the minimum! letters are quite doable for that...) The USPS price increase has slashed almost all thought of buying from US-based fabric sellers for me, simply because so few of them offer an option cheaper than $17 to ship anything.
I am hopping over to check out a new quilt shop for me... Yay!! I live in a small town of less than 400 residents, so online shopping is a way of life for me. The most important thing that I look for in a quilt shop is having the full line of each selection... at least initially. Not that I won't still shop if the main prints are available in a collection and the price is competitive. But for keeping shipping costs minimal, it is nice to be able to fill a whole order for a quilt. Plus, easy site navigation really helps.
I look forward to getting to know your shop Tammy! Thanks for a chance at this wonderful giveaway!
I've never purchased fabric online, but I love the Curious Nature line. Thanks for the chance.
Top consideration for me is price. Cost of fabric and cost to ship. Next would be variety within a line and ability to get various sized cuts. Thanks for the chance at some awesome fabric.
I love Marmalade Fabrics great service! I love to buy fat quarters!
Phishstephenson@yahoo.com
When I shop online for fabric I usually have something very specific in mind for a specific project. Then when I find what I need, I look around that shop for bargains & pick up a few yards of whatever catches my eye. Love the colors in Stockholm - thanks for the chance.
My most important question when buying online is the shipping costs. I recently purchased something online and was charged $4.50 for shipping. When I got the package, it had only cost them $0.65 to mail it. Needless to say, I feel very ripped off. I do not order from any site that does not clearly state their shipping charges in an easy to find place. Now, onto nicer things. These fabrics are lovely and I will definitely go to the site and have a look-see! Thanks for the giveaway.
When I'm buying from abroad the shipping charges are the most important thing! Otherwise I'm looking for a good range of fabrics and great customer service
Most important for me is price I have limited fabric funds so I try to make my money stretch if I can.
Thanks for a great giveaway. The thing I look for when buying fabric, is will I like the prints/colors/overall feel of the design. Sometimes I have to think of who it's for, project wise, and think outside my normal comfort pallet and choose what they'd like.
Thanks for introducing me to this great onlineshop, so beautiful fabrics!
I like to sit at home and shop, and the service in these onlineshop is fabulos.
Thanks for the chance to win too.
I look at a number of factors - price, shipping and selection are the most important. I tend to not buy fabric online unless I have seen it "in person" so that I'm not surprised!
Marmalade offers competitive pricing and shipping rates and excellent customer service. Tammy is a fellow KC MQG member so I do have a bit of a bias. I am thrilled to see her business growing!
I look at return policies because colors don't always show up correctly on a computer screen. I hate buying fabric for a specific project and then finding out that it wasn't really the color that I needed.
Unless I'm already familiar with a particular collection, I always look for good quality images, and being able to zoom in is a plus. Great prices are wonderful, but if your fabric doesn't look as you expected, and the colors weren't true in the pic, you didn't get much of a bargain.
I'd have to say I look at the selection first and then price. Thanks for the chance to win!
I look at fiber first, then colors!
Tammy

Shopping online is so convenient. I like to buy from small businesses if possible and like to look for eco-friendly/organic fabrics. Good customer service/reviews is a must!
I look at a number of things: prices, turnaround time, I like "real" pictures of the fabric, not computer-generated ones, and a ruler to gauge print size.
I love Marmelade! My hubby ordered an Echo fat quarter set for me for Christmas from her -sweetest note attached and very quick processing of order. When shopping online, I look first for competitive pricing and fast and fair shipping costs. I tend to be a loyal customer when I'm happy!
I dont really look for anything specific when buying online...they usually just call to me..just like this stockholm bundle is!
I look for reputation. If a shop does not treat customers well, the word gets out quickly, and if customer service is wonderful, people spread that news also!
The most important thing for me to consider when purchasing online is the shipping. I usually have to check multiple websites for the fabric I would like then compare the shipping costs.
Thanks for the giveaway...
Leslie
i like being able to browse fabrics online in a variety of ways: by collection, designer, or by color, as the mood strikes. it can be frustrating if it's difficult to find what i'm looking for.
Shipping cost is the most important thing that I look for when purchasing fabric online.
I like the free for $50 and over.
Thanks.
Color, Color and more Color! Then I look at the cost of shipping.
I look for selection--if I'm not looking for a particular line or color or type, I'm looking for interesting new, fresh designs.
I have to say that it's price. That is, a good price for quality fabric. If one shop has what I want at a better price, I'm more likely to shop there and then to buy more especially if they have free shipping for a purchase of over $35 or $50 dollars. I also love it when a shop discounts older quality fabric lines. Many online shops have great fabrics. I shop at those stores whose prices are great too! And I've never been disappointed.
Once I find a fabric I want to buy, I usually shop around to find the best price (yardage and shipping). Most places are competitive on designer prints, but I'll definitely give a shop my business if it has a sale or coupon going for the print I want to buy. :)
The most important thing I look for is shipping cost. Great fabrics, thx for the opportunity.
All of the things you said about this shop are important...selection, price and service. Any special program is a nice bonus. I hadn't heard of them before so I'm heading over to chekc them out. I am in need of some Kona cotton right now.
The most important thing I look for first, is a fabric that matches my vision. Secondly, it is the cost of shipping; if I can get free shipping with a bigger order, I will usually hunt for more fabric that I like- so, another important feature is to showcase co-ordinating fabric while I am looking at what I like.
Hi! Thank you for a great give away! I'm happy to visit a new (for me) online shop! Those Stockholm fabrics are beautiful and have great colours!
I look first colours, then prints and then prize. Also it's good if you find easily matching colours and buy small amounts.
Thank you Marmalade!
nerospostatgmaildotcom
I have to say selection is the most important factor when I'm shopping online. I'm usually looking for something specific. A good price helps too!
The most important thing to me when buying online is price or shipping costs...thanks!
The most important thing I look for when purchasing fabric online is selection and shipping cost.
Thanks for the chance to win!
~Terry~
The first thing I look for with on-line fabric shopping is selection. Price is the second thing I consider before making a purchase. Fun fabric.
I look to see if the price of fabric+shipping is less then if I find it brick and mortar. I'm lucky and have access to 4-5 really great fabric stores with in 30 minutes and I like to support them.
jenn.barclay@gmail.com
Competitive prices, shipping deals, getting it out the door quickly. Thanks for the chance!
Unfortunately, the one thing that makes or breaks whether I shop on line is shipping costs. I live in Canada and in many cases, shipping to Canada is completely unreasonable. But actually, Marmalade fabrics is one that I have bookmarked because there's is more reasonable.
Thanks for the giveaway!
It's so great of you and Marmalade Fabrics to host this giveaway, Jen!
I think price is definitely the ultimate factor of where I purchase fabrics. I also love thumbnail images in the shopping cart, so I can see the fabrics I've picked together.
Of course, the most important thing is price, followed closely by shipping. I've gotta make sure it's really worth it to buy a particular bit of fabric!
I have access to a couple of well stocked quilt shops (who never have sales), so the most important factor I look for when shopping online is free shipping. Then I look for sales and a selection of less-common prints.
rebekahricker (at) yahoo (dot) com
Like everyone, price and shipping is important. But I also really like good customer service. It makes a difference :)
I just got me some of this fabric! (So if you draw my name - please redraw)
I think the most important thing a fabric store needs is to be in touch with the trends and what they're customers want. It's hard to put so much money and have fabric just sitting on the shelves.
I look for great selection of the most recent modern fabrics, reasonable shipping and great customer service :)
I like being able to shop by designer or by color. Prompt service keeps me coming back. Kathie L in allentown
1. Selection - if they don't have what I want, obviously I won't buy from you.
2. PRICE! This will hook me!
3. That said, after you have what I want at the right price, I will be loyal to you if I get good service. Even if later someone else has a better price, I'll stick with you!
I'm from Canada, so most of all, shipping (combined with the price of the fabric) has to be reasonable.
When buying fabric online I look for good customer reviews.
When looking into buying fabric online I usually look to see if it is a good deal along with reasonable shipping. It seems like you can find a great deal on the fabric, but then you have to pay alot for shipping...or the other way, you find a great deal on shipping but then you pay a larger price for the fabric. I don't have a lot of money to spend on fabric...I can't waste what I do have on shipping :)
The most important thing to me when shopping for fabric online is to get an idea of the thickness or weight of the fabric. Very few shops bother with that information and sometimes you end up with very thin fabric that doesn't play well with others in your stash.
Thank you for the introduction to the stockholm prints. It is beautiful. I do most of my shopping for fabric from the comfort of my home. It is important for me to have high quality pictures and lots of selection. The cost of shipping also is important. I tend to buy lots of fabric at one time to cut down on the shipping cost. Thank you for a great giveaway. I would really like t win this one.
Lately, I've been interested in shops that sell a variety of fabric types. I'm branching out to making more clothes for myself and my children and I like one stop shopping. I also like good descriptions of fabric type, weight and potential uses since I'm new to some of the fabric types. Thanks! kristie_keely(at)yahoo(d0t)com
A decent fabric price per yard and most importantly the shipping prices. I typically buy online when there are sales or for fabrics that are more difficult to get like international lines (Japanese, etc).
I like great customer service. I have a hard time with online shopping b/c you never really know if your fabrics are going to match, but if a shop owner is willing to take the time to help me match fabrics, then they have a customer for life.
I look for great service from an online retailer. Marmalade fabrics sounds like they are doing things right. Thanks for hosting a giveaway!
To answer your question, when buying fabrics on line I look for a large variety of choices and easily manuevered website. I also like it when I can buy FQ.
When I'm buying online, after comparing prices, I find it really useful when sellers have a ruler on their photos to help get a better idea of scale. I also like having a wide range of fabrics (who doesn't, right?!)
when I shop online I am either looking for a specific fabric, or a good price. I always factor in the shipping cost when I calculate cost per yard to see if I am really getting a good deal. I have a certain few sites I go to, I have been disappointed a few times by color and fabric quality so keep track of good vs bad sites.
I look for variety, reasonable prices, and reliable delivery. Tammy is fabulous!
I look for a wide selection of quality fabrics in fat quarter bundles.
lisamcgriff@hotmail.com
I look for acccurate cuts - no skewed cuts, no stretching the fabric to get to a yard - and for low shipping costs.
One of the most important things to me is being able to see clearly that they ship Internationally and the cost of the shipping, I hate having to give all my details before I can find out if they ship International. Linda
I look for price when I'm online, or lines from designers that I can't buy locally.
jennie.erwin (at) gmail.com
When I shop for fabric I like a site that is easy to use with clear pictures of the fabric. Sometimes the pictures do not do the fabric justice. I would probably buy much more fabric if the pictures would show just how great the fabric is. I am always looking for sales and a deal on shipping. Thank you for the chance to win!
I do look at price, but also selection... I'd rather pay a little extra to get everything I want from one shop than have to look and buy from tons of different places. christina112358 at gmail dot com
Those fabrics are wonderful! When shopping online, I look for price, shipping costs and known customer service. Thanks for the chance to win.
I haven't yet bought fabric online - mostly just 'window shopped' so far. The important thing I'd look for is pricing & cost of shipping. It's hard to purchase lots of fabric just for kicks when on a budget.
I do most of my shopping online since my LQSs don't carry "modern" fabrics - I look for variety, reasonable pricing and shipping...and I make a note of who ships quickly.
thanks for the chance!
lwghosts at yahoo dot com
When I shop online free shipping is always something I try for. A decent selection is important too.
I know I pay a lot of attention to places that offer free shipping for all purchases! I don't buy a lot of fabric at once, and paying for shipping repeatedly is aggravating.
Looking for quality, then my chosen colors! Thanks for sharing!
Happy Stitching!
Love the fabrics. I look for price and shipping after I fall in love with the fabrics. Shipping costs can be the stopper.
indyqltr@hotmail.com
Love those Stockholm prints!! Also love that the name is Stockholm-- as I have a Swedish son-in-law. :-) When I'm shopping online for fabric, there are a few things that I look for--- the option of purchasing in smaller amounts (like fat quarters, for instance), rewards programs, reasonable shipping charges, and friendly customer service are all very important factors, and it looks like Marmalade Fabrics offers all that and more! I'm definitely bookmarking their shop! Thank you for the chance to win! :-)
I prefer if you have multiple options of searching for the fabric, such as color, designer, collection, pattern etc.
And I love bundles and of course I can't resist a sale.
It depends on the project. Color texture weight ant price are all important factors.
Pricing is very important but I also want a company or shop that has return customers because that tells me people had a good experience.
I just got an order from Marmalade yesterday but it didn't include any Stockholm. That would be a nice addition. Online I'm looking for accuracy and speediness. (Being nice doesn't hurt either.) Welcome to Marmalade.
I look for good prices (sales if possible or discount codes) and free shipping!
Thank you for the give away. For online fabric shopping I really look for the shipping costs, it can be the deal breaker!
I recently ordered for the first time from Marmalade fabrics and the fabric arrived so beautifully wrapped! That Stockholm is beautiful. I look for so much - swiftness in dispatching the order is pretty high along with cost!
I look for price and selection. Sometimes the cheapest priced store has a very limited selection so it doesn't make sense to spend all the money on shipping. I also really like fat quarters, most of my projects are scrappy and I just don't need a 1/2 yard of everything I like.
If I am buying many cuts of fabric from different lines I look for a shop with a fair price that carries them all to save on shipping and the hassle of multiple orders. A good selection of solids is also very helpful, especially if some of those solids are selected as pairings with different prints and collections. Price also is very important to me, frankly. If I am able to spend a little bit less to make one project, I have that much more to spend on another.
When shopping online, I look for reasonable shipping charges, cost of the fabric, and of course selection with fabulous pictures to really get a good look at the fabric the best you can.
I like to look for collections of my favorite designers and shipping cost is something I consider when selecting fabric from online shops.
I always look for reasonably priced shipping prices as well as shipping times.
Thanks for the contest!
Shannyn
wonderbunnie@gmail.com
Price is key for me, especially as I've started buying prints that I know are good quality. Low shipping costs is great too.
I am loving those rich colors! When shopping online I always look for a wide selection so I can order for multiple projects at once.
erinkthim@gmail.com
After good selection at reasonable prices, my favorite shops have awesome search options. Being able to search by designer, manufacturer, or collection is pretty common, but the ability to search by color or type of print is exceptional in my book :)
I look for above average customer support, next I look for a wide range of choices.
I look for a good varied selection at reasonable prices and for easy steps to brochure, select and check out. Thanks for the chance!
I first look at shipping costs, then variety of prints, then per yard cost. I also pay attention to communication emails (order received, order shipped). Thank you for the giveaway!
I always check the shipping costs, because a great sale isn't so great if the shipping costs are excessive.
Customer service is also important. Read the customer reviews -- they usually are a good indication if something is amiss.
Thank you for the giveaway, and for steering me towards this shop. I'm going to buy some Kona!
I go for color. i like quilts that pop.
The Stockholm is great! In shopping online I look for selection--often I find one fabric here and another somewhere else that I want--makes it too expensive to buy each, so I look for a diverse selection of lovely fabrics or other things I need, reasonable prices and shipping.
The most important thing I look for when getting fabric is.... does the fabric match the person Im makeing something for?
I love these fabrics
Thanks for the opportunity to win
Lori Smanski
If it pleats well.
I want low shipping costs and a phone number to call and talk to someone in person if anything goes wrong with my order or if I have questions about a certain fabric.
I look for international shipping options and of course modern fabrics
Thanks for organizing the give away.
greetings, Iris josiessecret@yahoo.de
How exciting to have yet another sponsor!!! The first thing that attracts me to fabric is the color. It's like candy for the eye!! If I'm shopping in a traditional quilt shop I don't worry about how the fabric is made and that it is 100% cotton. If I see "eye candy" somewhere else, after loving the color, I check the manufacturer and that it is 100% cotton.
Oh by the way, I received all my lovely eye spy fabrics in the mail yesterday. Thanks for all your hard work!
Thanks for a chance to win this fat quarter bundle! Doreen
I normally don't buy online because I like to feel the fabric. I will buy online, if the color isn't critical, & if I know the brand & seller.
The Marmalade line is beautiful.
I always look for clarity of the pictures, the ones that match the fabrics true colors, I'm more likely to buy then because if its a new print to me, i know what I'm ordering!
obviously, i have to go with price. and shipping costs. and the ability to get more than one thing that i'm shopping for from the same place... thus saving on shipping. :)
thanks for the giveaway!
sarah16@gmail.com
I look for decent fabric prices as well as shipping prices. Great selection of fabric lines is key too!
When I buy fabric online, I'm definitely hoping to find the best deal for my money. I also do like shops that offer small bundles of fabric for under $20. I don't have the budget for a full set of fabrics from a line -- usually over $50 a pop -- but I love to purchase a small set when I can. Thanks for the wonderful giveaway!
Like alot of people I'm interested in getting a good price but what I really look at is how easy it is to get around the site. If its to hard to figure out where I need to go than I'll just go somewhere else. Have to say, this stack of Stockholm is fabulous!
the best deal and then what color i need
When shopping online I look for how easy it is to find what I am looking for. If a site is irritating I will go elsewhere!
beth(dot)sebastian(at)gmail(dot)com
I am Canadian, so the first thing I look for is reasonable shipping rates to Canada!!! Flat rate boxes are perfect, it is predictable how much it will cost to send a certain amount of yardage. Some online shops inflate shipping to Canada by 2 or 3 times that rate, sad but it just seems like gouging! :) Thanks for sharing this lovely bundle of fabric! WOuld love to win it!
I look for the fabric photo being as close to the colour I see on screen as it is in person. Also love a good price. Thanks for the chance.
The most important thing to me when ordering fabric on line is customer service first; selection of fabric, second, and shipping cost, lastly.
Thanks for the contest! I love the Stockholm collection.
Good pricing is a must, free shipping and if I need them, free swatches.
I always check that they do actually ship to Canada, and that shipping won't cost an arm and a leg.
I look at shipping costs to Canada before I look at anything else. If it is below 12 i will keep shopping if not then I don't bother looking at the website at all/
Price is obviously a factor but I really try to find out about the shop before I buy (user reviews, testimonials, etc.). Good customer service is key! Thanks for introducing this new (to me) fabric store and for chance to win! Rhonda (marshudson at comcast dot net)
Just like in a touch fabric store I look for the fabric that grabs me. Then I check out the how what and where of it and how does it play with other fabrics. Price and shipping are important and reputation. I like the Stockholm FQs, they are crisp. Thanks.
I look at price first - important when it has to be shipped to the UK. Also, a good selection of fabrics and great customer service.
Thanks for the lovely giveaway!
I look for a great selection, I prefer to only shop at places I know others have also had good experiences with, and hey throw in a great deal, like free shipping or a free FQ, and I'm there! Great giveaway!!
The most important thing for me is shipping cost. If the shipping cost isn't reasonable I look elsewhere.
I want the fabric to be shipped out quickly and to be packaged with loving, tender care.
Lately I've become more persnickety about the quality...Marmalade Fabrics looks awesome - and with so many Kona colors to choose from, I think they might become my go-to shop for solids!
Great giveaway - thank you! I look for a combination of a site that's easy to navigate, where you can look by different criteria, etc. and good customer service. Of course, price and reasonable postage costs are important but I'd rather pay a small percentage more and get good service than buy something that's cheaper and get bad service...
I look for known companies that provide quality goods, good prices, free or minimal shipping costs.
I look for 2 things when looking at Online fabric Merchants. The cost of the fabrics and the cost of shipping. I usually stick to brands I know and have worked with, or if I try something new its something that had been recommended. :)
I always look for well-known designers and manufacturers.
I always look for well-known designers and manufacturers.
Shopping for fabric online - I look first at selection since I either have a specific project in mind or a couple of lines I'm looking to add to my stash at a good price. And shipping costs since they can add up especially if you aren't ordering very much.
Eu gostei de série Lark.Mas...Estocolmo....
I think a good picture that lets you get a feel for the scale and colour of the design is important... and then you always want to be able to get some other coordinating fabric from the same shop while you're buying!
I look at the shipping cost...it can add a lot to the pric of an order!
What is the most important thing you look for when purchasing fabric online?
Call me funny its the presentation and layout of the website and lighting and color on the material. If I cant tell what I am buying or I cant find where it is in the show I go.

I love all her fabrics and her great customer service!
yummm ... this is a very nice bundle, love the prints! i do most of my fabric shopping online ... i'm an impulse buyer and have a large list of shops available, but i do pay attention to fabric fiber, price, and whether or not it would 'do' for my stash.
I always buy designer fabric online so I know I'm getting good quality. I usually buy with a purpose, decide what fabric I want, and then go to my favourite shops to see who carries it.
