I met her at the Sewing Summit after being blog buddies last year. Funny, I had to go all the way in Utah to meet her even though she lives just a few hours away from me in NC.
I am thrilled to be able to introduce you to her today.
She's got a great sense of humor and is very real and down to earth- not to mention she has fabulous sewing skills!
Meet Val!
Stats:
Name: Valerie

What is your favorite:
place:Antigua, Guatemala. Picture colonial style architecture from the 1500's, cobblestone streets, the buildings all painted a rainbow of colors as you walk down the street, an amazing mixture of modern-day styles and woven Mayan dress that hasn't changed in centuries...oh, and tons of great food and shopping. It's an amazing place!
sound: My kids calling me "Mom"
movie: A Christmas Storybook: It's impossible to narrow to just one! Often, my favorite book is whatever I'm currently reading. Right now that happens to be Jen Hatmaker's 7: An Experimental Mutiny Against Excess. She is laugh out loud funny and strike-you-to-the-bone thought provoking. It's kind of messing with my head at the moment...

What is your dream job? I think I'm doing it! I can think of nothing else I'd rather be doing right now. Wow, just typing that makes me thankful - I'll try to remember that next time my kids are driving me up a wall!
