Feeling Zippy

I finished up an order of zip pouches yesterday. Aren't they fun colors?

I used a heavy interfacing which worked better (stays put better) than batting but may be a tad too stiff. Next time maybe I'll use fusible fleece.

I got all those pretty zips from Jennie at Zipit. I need to order more.

Off to work on basting a quilt- ugh! - my least favorite part of quilting!

So I'll leave you with a funny pic- this is what happens in the playroom when I am not looking. :)

Have a great day!

Funny picture! What size zips do you typically order? I see she has lots of different variety packs, but most of them are all the same length. What is the most versatile size in your opinion?

I think that 10" or 11" zips are pretty versatile because you can cut them down if needed but then you can also use them as is. Hope this helps!

Great pouches! Try the fusible fleece, I use it on everything now: pillows, pouches, bags. No icky crinkling or bubbling like the interfacing does when you have to turn the piece right side out!

Haha, when they get too quiet you know that it is time to see what they've gotten into

Cute pouches! And your kids look like they're having fun! And much tamer than what goes on in our playroom when I'm not looking!

Oh yes, the 'salon phase'! Mine are still at it, and it's the only type of hairdressing I get!

Gorgeous pouches....and be glad there were not scissors in her hand! We had an incident like that years ago, and one sibling had quite the "do" when the little stylist was finished! LOL

That is so cute of her doing his hair! Love it! And I'm with you on the basting thing - I always stall there, but once that's done, I'm super motivated to get the thing quilted!
