If you follow me on Pinterest, you may have noticed that I've been leaning toward cutting my hair short for weeks now.
I'd sadly fallen into the grubby ponytail, not-so-cute (and sometimes not so clean) hair style. Not my best look.
I have very fine, straight hair and am old enough to have embraced what God gave me and go with it.
So, inspired by Michelle Williams and Emma Watson, I took the plunge.

There is no where to hide with short hair!
I love it and surely love how quick it is.
So tell me, have you ever made a drastic hair change?

It looks great! Love it! :)
Very classy! Way to be brave.
Absolutely LOVE it!!! Women with short hair just exude confidence if you ask me!!! :)
Looks very nice. I went for a change a couple of years ago -- I wanted soft curls in my short, very straight, thick hair so I got a perm. B.I.G. mistake.
so sassy! i love it! i've been itching for a hair-change too...
Super daring! I have never given up my pony tail and I doubt I will anytime soon :)
Cute!! It suits you. Before you even said Emma Watson I was thinking her!
Jennifer it is so cute!! You pull it off beautifully!
It's darling!!!! I cut my hair short after I got out of college & it has been that way ever since! I will not reveal how many years ago that was!
You look adorable. I have worn my hair short for years and decided to grow it out last year. It's a pain to blow dry all the time, but I am determined to let it grow a little longer. So for me longer is more drastic since I always have short.
amazing on you! Your before picture is as short as I have dared - and that was for locks of love & I couldn't deal with not being able to put it in a pony. You look great, good for you taking the plunge!!!
and you look absolutely beautiful! i love it love it love it! i am so happy for you that you finally took the plunge! ;)
i colored my blonde hair dark brown once and loved it. i might do it again this winter.
I too have fine, straight hair. I have attempted short hair before, but unfortunately, it did not come out any where near as cute as yours! I am envious! So, my "go to" hair cut is variations on the blunt/bob hair cut. I currently have it the shortest it has been in about 17 years. I am still getting used to it. As a little girl, I always had a "pixie" cut and looked cut in it. But my face is rounder now, so it doesn't translate as well.

Gorgeous!! Looks fab!
Very, very flattering!
Oh lovely - great cut! Wish I was that brave xx
You new hairdo looks great! I've worn my hair the same most of my life, but chemo forced a very radical change recently - I've gone from long medium brown hair to no hair to 1" grey hair in the last 6 months. I get a shock every time I look in the mirror, but I'm just happy to be here and have hair again LOL!
Love the haircut! It looks like we have similar hair, and I must admit, at this moment I am sporting a grubby ponytail with little pieces falling out because a couple months ago I decided to cut my hair short enough that I couldn't just pull it up in a ponytail because that is all I ever did. I have considered going super short like yours, but haven't gotten that brave yet. I did it once when I was a senior in high school and liked it, but didn't love it. However, I now have a SIL that is a very talented hair stylist, so I really have no excuse. All that to say, your hair looks great!
You look adorable!
What a great haircut!
You look great! I'm stuck in a hair rut but with my tendency to frizz and the NC humidity, I"m keeping it long and ponytail-able for now!
You wear your pixie cut well! Very trendy and cute. I have an appointment for next Tuesday. Will I or won't I? I think I have to keep my pony tail, I was a pixie for a very long time.
Very cute! Great job being brave!
Oh it's so cute! I don't know if I could ever be that brave...congratulations (:
good call--it looks fabulous on you--shows off your beautiful smile!
My hair was below my shoulders in big brown curls and I cut it so there was just enough to flip it up in a half circle on the nape of my neck. Some of my students didn't even recognize me in the hall!
Well this is a coincidence! These last few days I've been seriously thinking about cutting my hair. I have very long hair (goes down to to my lower back) and was considering about cutting it just above the shoulder. I'm really not sure about it... it's a very hard decision for me, since it does take a while to grow out this long. Ahhhh... still debating! Your new haircut looks great! I could never go that short because my hair is so thick and wavy (it would look awful on me), but it suits you very nicely!
I LOVE it!! I tried to reply on the rainbow charm swap yesterday when I noticed your new avatar, but I couldn't get flickr to agree with me :) It's a beautiful cut on you!! I have hair a little below my shoulders and went to the salon to have it completely chopped- I found the cutest sytle and fell in love. Well, my hairdresser is smart, thank goodness, and told me that I had a lovely "wave" in part of my twice-as-thick-as-it-should-be-hair for that style --- drat! He said it would take hours to flat iron it everyday- well, with kiddos, you know how possible that is :) So I kept the lenghth and just cut tons of layers and long bangs- I really like it and it wound up being a change, but I dream of going "short" someday :)
With lovely bone structure like you have, of course you should have a short cute hair cut. You look great Jennifer!
I love it! I've cut mine off! It's very short and I love it. When you get to be my age there are more important things than hair!
Love it! I've always worn my hair short so my drastic changes come with colour! Dyeing (sic) to get home to the hairdresser and a new colour! Yours is fab!
It's looks lovely - you did the right thing! And yes, years ago I went from long hair to the Dorothy Hamill cut and never looked back - best move ever!
It's adorable...you just can't beat a good short haircut! IMHO, anyway...
Love that style on you! I got all mine chopped off last week, and adore how much time I DON'T have to spend on it every morning.
Very cute. I haven't ever done anything drastic cut wise, but my hairdresser has near heart failure every time I remind her that I literally wash and go, no brush, no hairdryer, no nothing lol
BTW, charms arrived today, thanks :o)
Gorgeous! I've lopped off over a foot of hair--twice! I'm in the process of growing it out again, then next spring, I'll cut it off and donate it again. It means I usually go from hair nearly to my waist to a chin-length bob. In this heat wave, let me tell you, it's tempting to just chop it off now!
It looks great on you! :)
Well, there was that perm back in '88 two months before my wedding. I would say that was pretty drastic!
I LOVE your new 'do. I have the same pin straight baby fine hair, so I know how hard it is to find styles that give it some life. You knocked it outta the park with this!
I chopped off 8" last year, that was pretty drastic for me.
Jennifer, I had SOOOO much fun cutting your hair it made my week! You look absolutely amazing with short hair!
Aren't you adorable! Love it!
LOVE IT! God 'blessed' me with natural curly/wavy and very thick hair. It has gone from the Mia Farrow length to midway down my back and has been loped off a number of times for Locks of Love (tends to grow very fast). I live in the South and keep it long as the humidity freaks out the curls when it is short.
Girl, I love your hair!! It looks so summery. I had short hair once, and have thought about going back. It's so easy. Looks great on you! :)
So pretty!!! I love it!
Drastic? Not so much. I cut my long hair to just above shoulder length in college. It was a big deal. Then I grew it back out for my wedding a few years later...and kept it long.
