Dresden Plates for me

Mary's pictures of her beautiful dresden plate quilt inspired me months ago to make my own.

After sewing these together, I needed a break from them.
Working on this one for Lindsey for the Threadheads Bee,
and seeing Mary's pictures again was the motivation I needed to get mine finished.

Now that I have the blocks sewn together, I've decided to do a piano key border. Wish I had thought to cut out pieces for this when I started but oh well.

This is going to be my quilt. A quilt for me to snuggle under when watching tv, reading (when I ever find the time) and for napping (once in a blue moon!)

I'm loving it.
What are you working on?

This is so beautiful! I find that I am drawn more and more to traditional blocks done in a modern way. Good for you for keeping it for yourself!

Love it! The top picture is so happy too. It is a shame you didn't cut the piano key strips during...oh the work! But it's going to look awesome! I'm working on my plus pillow. The front is finished, now for a back!

Love it. I have seen more and more polka dots as backgrounds and I think it looks so neat. Great job. I am going to have to make myself one of those too. :)
