Sometimes you meet somebody and within five minutes you feel like you've known them for years.
Lindsey and I are in the Threadheads Bee together, and today we had a chance to meet up in person. I had a feeling we would hit it off, and I was right. She is just adorable and such a fun, sweet person.
First of all, she brought me gifts-Wow!- a Kona Color Card (which I've been dying to have) and a fabulous bag of scraps! Yippie!
I can't wait to put these together with some from my stash and make a scrappy quilt. I love what she chose for me, and I don't have a single duplicate in my stash.
My two favorites are the Echino (I'm a huge new fan!) and this Jennifer Paganelli. Love, Love.
Secondly, Lindsey is a talker like me- or maybe it was just because we have so much in common. We talked and talked and talked - about sewing, quilting, bees, the Modern Quilt Guild, our families, you name it, we covered it and yet we only scratched the surface.
Before we knew it, it was almost time to go. We managed to squeeze in a field trip to Whipstitch though. That place is fab. I so wish we had a quilt shop like it in Charlotte.
Look at all this fabric loveliness.
Tons of fresh fat quarters and half yards and a great selection of Moda. There were so many fabrics I had only seen online that I loved seeing in person.
The girls in the shop even let us behind the counter! (fun, huh?)
It was one of the most fun mornings I've had in a while.
Have you been lucky enough to get to meet some of your online sewing friends?
