Fabric for Boys

How do you feel about fabric for boys?  Do you feel it's hard to find something modern that you love?

It seems I have no problem falling in love with modern girly fabric- florals, dots, stripes, and prints full of pinks, blues, greens, and yellows.

But I haven't had much luck when it comes to fabric suitable for boys-until I came across Kate Spain's new line Central Park.  The line has such beautiful colors and soft fabrics.  Just look at these cute animals!

Lucky for me they come a wide range of colors that work for both boys and girls. The aqua, orange, kakhi, chocolate brown and animal prints are perfect for a boy's quilt.

Wonky stars were an easy choice. They are fun, modern, and a little bit quirky, and they work perfectly with these fabrics.

Now the hard part is deciding whether to keep this one or sell it... I just love it.

So tell me, what fabric do you love that is perfect for a boy?

I have been looking for boy prints because I need to make one for my nephew. I love these!!! Where do you shop? We have Mary Jo's but I get so overwhelmed when I walk in the store. We also have Sew Much Fun but haven't found the boy fabrics I love.

After reading your post about letting go of being perfect, I finished my "it's a hoot" quilt top. I also started a pinwheel quilt - I had a ton of 5x5 squares already cut and wanted to try something different.

My mission this weekend is to get fabric and see how much I can get done on a lap quilt for Jason's grandmother's 90th birthday this weekend (nothing like waiting til the last minute).

I hope you have a good weekend.

We need to go on a field trip some time soon. I would love your input because you have a way of mixing and matching that I love.
